PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear view mirror for safety confirmation when a rear part door of an automobile is opened. SOLUTION: The rear view mirror for safety confirmation is mounted so that an outer side, a side, and a rear part area of the automobile can be seen during the opening of the rear part door. The rear view mirror comprises a hard rear view mirror body (1), and the rear view mirror body (1) preferably has a laminar flow curved shape. One surface has a reflection property for partitioning a mirror surface having a viewing angle of a wide visual field, and can be fixed to inner portions (6) of respective pillars (5) at sides of an automobile body. One surface gives a visual field of an outer area and a rear part area of the automobile to an occupying person of a rear part of the automobile before the opening of the rear part door.
