The DC connector shells (112,114) include several bus bars (206,208,212,214) which are configured to receive and transmit high power direct electric current. A communication medium (220) electrically coupled between an interface (118) and bus bars through a clip assembly, provides information regarding current measure of DC connector to the interface based on the electric current transported from the bus bar.
