PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device and the like in which pairing can be performed by simple operation while suppressing an increase in power consumption. SOLUTION: An operation target device 31 comprises a pairing processing section 35 for performing pairing with a remote controller 11 in the case that a signal indicating the on-state of a pairing signal is included in a received instruction input signal; a power source 34 which supplies power for enabling the pairing processing section 35 to carry out pairing; and a power supply control section 40 for supplying a current from the power source 34 to the pairing processing section 35 at time intervals T, so that pairing can be performed by simple operation while suppressing an increase in power consumption.
