PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a closed expansion tank capable of being thinned, easily performing heat medium injection work and suppressing accumulation of air. SOLUTION: In this expansion tank comprising a casing 1 partitioned into a first chamber 11 and a second chamber 12 by a main partition 5, and a connection plug 2 for allowing the heat medium to flow in and out to the first chamber 11, the main partition 5 is provided with a means capable of circulating the heat medium, and an airbag 6 is provided in the second chamber 12.
