PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a call register notification system which specifies a caller easily. SOLUTION: When there is a telephone call toward a portable telephone 104, a server 101 determines whether the portable telephone 104 can receive a message. If it cannot receive a message, the server 101 extracts the caller number and acquires subscriber information corresponding to the extracted caller number from a telephone number DB 103. After acquiring the subscriber information, the server 101 stores the caller number and the subscriber information in a call register information storage section 102. Thereafter, the server 101 takes out the caller number and the subscriber information from the call register information storage section 102 and notifies the portable telephone 104 that there has been a telephone call from a person who is shown by the caller number and the subscriber information.
