<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor which erases only a hole part of an image obtained by scanning an original with a hole such as a binder hole. <P>SOLUTION: The image processor comprises: one or more image reading means 7, 8 for reading pieces of image information on the front and rear sides of the original 3; an image storage part; a resolution conversion means for converting resolution of a read image read by the image reading means; an original hole detection means for creating images with low resolution, respectively using images on the front and rear sides using the resolution conversion means and detecting the hole of the original 3 based on the images; a hole position calculation means for converting a hole position detected by the original hole detection means into a hole position of the image before resolution conversion and an original hole erasure means for erasing a hole image from the read image based on the position calculated by the hole position calculation means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
