An inside diameter extension device for a side protective plate of a steel coil is provided to extend the inside diameter of the side protective sheet quickly at low cost compared to a press. An inside diameter extension device for side protective plate of a steel coil comprises a main body(2) in which a sliding shaft is installed, a clamping unit(4) in which clamps(3) are radially installed in order to hold a side protective plate(P), a cutting unit(6) in which a pair of cutter are installed in order to the inside diameter part of the side protective plate fixed by the clamping unit, and a control unit(10) including a control button and a control window to control the operation of the clamping unit and the cutting unit.
