The invention relates to the water treatment devices, namely to a water-purifying filter. The water-purifying filter consists of a body equipped in the upper part with a water inlet branch and in the lower part with a water outlet branch, inside the body it is placed a filter material above which it is installed a capsule with food colorant, made with a water-soluble covering of harmless material, the thickness of covering (G) being calculated according to formula:G=V x T, whereV is the velocity of covering dissolution in water, mm/h;T is the service time of the filter material, h.The result consists in simplifying the construction, reducing the cost value and in the possibility of visually determining the termination of the filter material service life.
