The system (20) has an air supply (12) e.g. intake circuit part, connected to an ozone production device (5) e.g. non-thermal plasma reactor, by a pipe. A hydrocarbon absorption container (3) with a zeolite support is connected to a fuel supply (11) e.g. main fuel tank, by a pipe (22) to introduce fuel in the form of gas or liquid into the absorption container. The absorption container is connected to the ozone production device by a pipe (26). An independent claim is also included for a method for treating pollutant compounds in a drive train.
