PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem, wherein since a very complex process, a pattern matching of image data or audio data, is carried out for deciding startup of corner in programs, a process load of a device grows bulky, and the problem, wherein according to the calculation capacity of the device, because of high process load, a time-lag arises after the startup of a desired corner, until the completion of pattern matching process. SOLUTION: There is obtained a broadcasting receiver comprising a function of utilizing "the history of a user's channel selection operation", and "the frequency distribution of the number of CM frame insertions, until its channel selection operation is executed" without having to execute complex processes, such as conventional pattern matching, to calculate "an exponent" for deciding whether the corner in unscheduled programs has just started, and a function of executing this decision.
