<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a selenium-containing wastewater treatment method and apparatus which can perform the reduction treatment of hexavalent selenium-containing wastewater to effectively remove selenium with a small elution amount of metal, and preferably, generate easily disposable sludge whose color is white. <P>SOLUTION: The selenium-containing wastewater treatment method comprises the wastewater treatment process where selenium-containing wastewater is brought into contact with an alloy or mixture of metallic titanium and other metals, and a part of the other metals is eluted to reduce selenium, and the acid washing process where an acid-containing aqueous solution whose acid concentration is 0.03 N or more is brought into contact with the alloy or mixture. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
