PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing high-purity cuprous dimethyldithiocarbamate. SOLUTION: The method for producing cuprous dimethyldithiocarbamate comprises concentrating an aqueous solution of sodium dimethyldithiocarbamate until concentration of the aqueous solution becomes≥50%, adding cuprous oxide thereto while retaining the liquid temperature at≥90°C, preferably≥95°C and leading to phase inversion by raising reaction temperature and increasing viscosity of reaction mixture.
