PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide optical glass which has optical characteristics such as a high refractive index, and low deformation temperature and contains no PbO, on the molded surface of which the occurence of white turbidity or roughness is prevented and which is suitable for precision mold press molding. SOLUTION: The optical glass contains 18-32 wt.% P<SB>2</SB>O<SB>5</SB>, 0-8 wt.% B<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, 5-20 wt.% GeO<SB>2</SB>, 0.1-10 wt.% Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, 8-30 wt.% ZnO, 0-3 wt.% TiO<SB>2</SB>, 4-30 wt.% Nb<SB>2</SB>O<SB>5</SB>, 1-12 wt.% WO<SB>3</SB>, 3-45 wt.% Bi<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, 6-18 wt.% (Li<SB>2</SB>O+Na<SB>2</SB>O+K<SB>2</SB>O) (on condition that 0.1-8 wt.% Li<SB>2</SB>O, 2-18 wt.% Na<SB>2</SB>O and 0-10 wt.% K<SB>2</SB>O), 1.3-15 wt.% BaO, 0.5-10 wt.% (MgO+CaO+SrO) (on condition that 0.1-5 wt.% MgO, 0-5 wt.% CaO and 0.5-5 wt.% SrO), 0-10 wt.% NaF and 0-10 wt.% ZnF.
