PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a space factor of an armature winding in a radial-gap/axial-winding type rotary electric machine. SOLUTION: An armature 1 has a yoke 101 and teeth 103. The teeth 103 face field magnets 21 in a radial direction of a rotary shaft Q. The yoke 101 is annular and located closer to the inner-peripheral side than the teeth 103. Each teeth-side armature winding 107 is wound around an axial direction along the rotary shaft Q so as to be axially arranged side by side with the teeth 103. Each yoke-side armature winding 106 is wound around an axial direction so as to be axially arranged side by side with the yoke 101. Each yoke-side armature winding 106 and each teeth-side armature winding 107 are correspondingly provided so that both of them are radially arranged side by side. A magnetic flux flows between each yoke-side armature winding 106 and each teeth-side armature winding 107, which correspond to each other, via each magnetic body 105. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
