PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording device that improves usability by displaying the status of not only image reading but also image recording, and the status of image scanning on an LCD. SOLUTION: The image recording device including an image reading means, an image displaying means and an image recording means is provided with a resolution converting means for converting an image read by the image recording means into a resolution lower than that of the image to be read. Further, the device includes a display control means for updating contents displayed according to an image reading status by sequentially displaying the image converted into the low resolution on the image displaying means.
