PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser scanning confocal microscope capable of rapidly and accurately determining whether to perform output control from a laser light source part during scanning within one pixel. SOLUTION: The laser scanning microscope includes a processor for converting a sample image using output from a detector. The processor has a function of reading output of the detector at every time interval of ä1/(2<SP>n</SP>-1)} or ä1/2<SP>n</SP>} (n is a predetermined natural number) of a predetermined time T1 shorter than U when the time the scanning light scans a range corresponding to one pixel in the image is set to U, setting a value computed from averaging by addition and bit shift using these values, as a corrected output value at the time T1 of the detector and determining whether to control output of light from the laser light source part according to the corrected output value.
