PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record a high quality image even in an application of recording a thin line or a ruled line in an inkjet recorder having two sets of recording heads. SOLUTION: Image data is input from an external, the input image data is divided into pieces of image data by each image region having a predetermined size, and then the number of recording dots by each image region is counted. A recording mode for recording the image region is determined based on the counted result.
