PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To curtail a time necessary for the size change-over of a bead-core to be produced. SOLUTION: In an apparatus 10 for producing the bead-core for a tire, a molding former 13 having a plurality of arc-shaped segments 12 which are arranged circumferentially and set radially movably and in which bead-core molding circumferential grooves 11 are formed in the peripheral surface is provided, while the molding former 13 is expanded by moving the segments 12 radially outside, a bead wire is wound in multiple steps in the circumferential groove 11, and the bead-core W is molded.
