<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To create computer software for performing high-speed processing since, when reading characters printed on paper using a scanner and converting them into text characters generally used for a computer, conventional pixel-to-pixel sensing takes too much time because of various fonts. <P>SOLUTION: A character image file is read for the unit of byte in array shape as a binary file while keeping a state thereof, any one of color codes of either black used for characters or white used for the back is found out of array elements, subscript of the array is regarded as image position information, a total sum of such subscripts is determined as one numerical value, and collation with a dictionary is performed based on the numerical value, thereby developing computer software for converting a character image data into text characters. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
