A frame adapted to display a picture comprises a frame element 1 and a planar picture support 9 provided with a suspension means, in particular a loop 10. The frame element 1 comprises an elongate extrusion having a generally F-shaped cross-section. The element comprises an arched resilient first flange 2, a substantially planar second flange 3 and a stiffening flange 6 extending perpendicularly to the first and second flanges 2, 3. The first and second flanges 2, 3 define a slot 4 with a narrowed mouth 5, into which an edge of a sandwich comprising the support 9, a picture 7 and an optional glazing sheet 8 is inserted. The element is made from thermoplastics and formed by extrusion. |
