摘要 <p>The invention refers to electrical engineering and it could be used in electrical traction systems. Its purpose is to improve the efficiency factor of system. The direct current series excitation motor starting device consists of power supply 1, which has in parallel connected to filter 2, but the main controllable switch 3 is series is connected with motor excitation winding 4 and motor armature winding with additional pole winding 5, which has in parallel connected to additional controllable switch 6, choke 7, and first energy saving capacitor 8. The first energy saving capacitor 8 output is connected to the DC single phase alternating current converter with high frequency intermediate bus 9, which output is connected to the single phase rectifier 10 with series connected second energy saving capacitor 11. During the motor starting process the main controllable switch 3 operates in pulse width modulation mode. The first energy saving capacitor 8 is charged by additional controllable switch 6. The motor dynamic torque value is stabilized during starting process. The energy saved in the first energy saving capacitor 8 is transferred to the second energy saving capacitor 11 by the DC converter 9 and single phase rectifier 10. The technical and economic effect of invention is connected with the energy saving and increasing the mechanical part lifetime.</p>
