PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inspect whether a gear noise and a vibration are generated, and prevent the vibration from being transmitted to a to-be-inspected object in a state equivalent to an actually-assembled state. SOLUTION: First and second motive energy input mechanisms 14, 16 of an inspecting apparatus 10 respectively transmit a rotational drive force to a driving gear 32 and a driven gear 34 of a transfer 22 as the to-be-inspected object. The first motive energy input mechanisms 14 comprises: a spindle 62 provided with an inverse tapered hole 64 on an end face; and a jig 66 provided with a tapered section 70 fitted into the inverse tapered hole 64. When the driving gear 32 and the driven gear 34 are engaged and rotated by an action of the first and second motive energy input mechanisms 14, 16, the vibration is detected by a vibration sensor 130, and the gear noise is collected by a microphone 132.
