The present invention is directed to the use of lipoprotein lipase (LPL) in the prevention and intervention of metabolic syndrome and seborrhea and their pathogomies, and processes for the preparation of medicaments containing bioactive, stabilized LPL for use by humans. The present invention is also directed to a method for the medical oral use of LPL. The present invention is further directed to nutraceutical and pharmaceutical compositions which contain active and/or stabilized milk LPL, processes for preparation of such nutraceutical and pharmaceutical compositions, and methods for use of such nutraceutical and pharmaceutical compositions. |
