HANDOVER METHOD, METHOD FOR JOINING MULTICAST GROUP AND ACCESS ROUTER IN PROXY MOBILE IP

It provides a handover method in the proxy mobile IP, which includes: a handover request message is received from the source access router; a report message is sent to the home agent so that the home agent joins the multicast group by the multicast route protocol. It also provides a method for joining the multicast group in the proxy mobile IP and an access router. When a MN moves between ARs, the primary AR notifies the target AR the information of the multicast group in which the MN joined by signaling, and the target AR can select how to provide multicast service for the MN based on strategy, so that the multicast data packet loss during the handover procedure would be reduced.
