<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic filter uniformly collecting soot in the whole axial and radial directions of a filter, uniformly regeneratable, keeping high exhaust gas removing efficiency for a long time, and having excellent durability. <P>SOLUTION: In an assembly formed by combining and integrally bundling a plurality of filter units consisting of columnar porous ceramic sintered compacts with honeycomb structure via a sealant layer, the assembly is composed by combining filter units of different kinds, and the filter units of different kinds carry catalysts different in carrying amount or kind to form the ceramic filter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
