An improved emergency beacon is provided to implement a housing in which a connector for connecting a beacon to an antenna outside the housing is installed. A beacon comprises an event sensor(15), a transmitter(16) and a detection/control member(18). The detection/control member is connected to the event sensor and transmitter. In case event is detected, the detection/control member triggers the operation of the transmitter. The beacon more includes a built-in antenna, a changeover switch(20) and an induction member. The changeover switch is interposed between the transmitter and connector and between the transmitter and built-in antenna. The induction member induces the electromagnetic power(Pi) delivered towards the connector and the electromagnetic power(Pr) returned by the connector. The induction member is connected to the control member. The control member is connected to the changeover switch.
