<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a comfortable vehicle using an attitude control of an inverted pendulum. <P>SOLUTION: Balance (an inverted status) of a car body is kept by translational movements of a boarding part containing an occupant in the vehicular longitudinal direction, that is, as shown in Fig.1a, the boarding part containing the occupant is translationally moved to the acceleration direction for keeping the balance of anti-torque of a driving wheel acting on the car body by acceleration/deceleration according to a target travelling status (acceleration, deceleration, and stop) based on operation by the occupant and inertia accompanying the acceleration.
