<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cargo bed rear structure of a vehicle, which easily sets a direction-changing plate to a service condition and a non-service condition without any complicated work. <P>SOLUTION: A tailgate 6 is erected in the vehicle width direction at a rear part of a cargo bed to demarcate a rear end of the cargo bed. A tonneau cover 9 extends forward of a vehicle from an upper end of the tailgate 9 and is set in the closing position for covering at least a rear end of an upper opening of the cargo bed. A projecting part 10 of the tonneau cover 9 and a guide groove 19 of the tailgate 6 connect a rear end of the tonneau cover 9 at the closing position and the tailgate 6. The projecting part 10 and the guide groove 19 permit the turning movement that the tonneau cover 6 is moved backward-upwardly from the closing position and erected, and the sliding movement that the erected tonneau cover 9 is descended along the tailgate 6.
