<p>In the present invention compositions and methods are described for treating patients with a hepatitis C viral infection typically using interferon-alpha and/or ribavirin which are incorporated into liposomes, wherein the liposomes typically contain at least one carbohydrate moiety on the surface, such as a mono-, di-, oligo-, or polysaccharide moiety or any combination thereof, for targeting to hepatocytes. Other liposome surface modifications are provided to enhance effectiveness of the compound(s) therein.</p> |
