Implant with a near-surface diffusion layer containing magnesium and corresponding production method

摘要

The implant has an implant material made of metallic elements for forming a base (40). A diffusion layer (20) covers the base and is made of one of the metallic elements of the implant material and magnesium. A metallic layer (10) covers the diffusion layer and is made of magnesium or a biocorrodible magnesium alloy. The concentration of magnesium in the diffusion layer decreases from an outer side of the implant till the base. An independent claim is also included for a method for surface modification of an implant.
