A health food, and a liver cell protecting agent are provided to obtain the effect protecting liver cells by using an extract of xBrassicoraphanus. A health food contains an ethanol extract of xBrassicoraphanus. A liver cell protecting agent contains an ethanol extract of xBrassicoraphanus as an active ingredient. Preferably the ethanol extract of xBrassicoraphanus inhibit the damage of liver cells due to D-galactosamine.
