A method for predicting the bleeding after the endoscopic polypectomy provides for measuring the blood flow rate in the area of the polyp. Indium-113 is administered to the base of the polyp and the unaltered gastric mucosa. The difference of the elimination rate is measured. When this value exceeds 20 mL/min per 100 g of the tissue, the bleeding is suggested. |
