A system and method for navigating route of pedestrian is provided to improve utilization rate of route navigation service by supplying information on a pedestrian street, a crosswalk, and subway inlet and outlet. A system and method for navigating route of pedestrian comprises a user terminal(100), and a server(200) guiding route of a pedestrian, capable of supplying a route guide service. The user terminal detects route guide request of a user and displays route guide information to a user. The user terminal transmits location information of a starting point, location information of a destination, and a walking ability of a pedestrian to the pedestrian route guide server. The pedestrian route guide server comprises a GIS server part(210), a route creation part(220), a pedestrian network data base(230), a GIS database(240), and a POI database(250).
