A method for registering network information and an apparatus therefor are provided to link a network information registering device with a network information transmitting device quickly and conveniently by using the discovery protocol, although network information of the network information transmitting device is changed. An apparatus for registering network information starts the UDP/IP packet listening to transceive messages from a specific network port. The network information registering device checks network information of the network information transmitting device, and then generates a discovery request message for requesting the network information of the network information transmitting device when the network information is changed. And then, the network information registering device broadcasts the discovery request message to the network information transmitting device.
