The socket (10) i.e. base plate, has a socket shank (13) with a rotating inner wall, where a set of projections is located at the inner wall. A traffic safety device engages with a set of grooves of base parts in the socket shank. The socket shank is formed in cross section by a plug-in side of the socket shank in a conical or tapered manner. The socket shank has a set of longitudinally running channels (19), where latches (16) or engagement hooks are arranged at a side facing the plug-in side of the shank. An independent claim is also included for a device for fastening a navigation guide to a base plate.
