Electrical Insulating Oil Compositions and Preparation Thereof

An electrical insulating oil composition is prepared from an isomerized base oil. The electrical insulating oil composition in one embodiment exhibits excellent sulphur corrosion protection property with a sulphur level of <5 ppm; excellent gassing tendency of <30 muL per minute as measured according to ASTM D-2300-1976, and a rotary pressure vessel oxidation stability (RPVOT) value of at least 400 minutes as measured according to ASTM D 2272-02.
