Door hinge

The hinge consists of male (1) and female (2) components mounted on a hinge pin (3). The male component rests directly or indirectly on an external axial thrust bearing (5) fitted with washers (6) or shims to adjust the height of the female component relative to the male one. The hinge also has a spring in the form of an elastic ring (8) which is held under compression by a peg inserted through the male component and into a hole in the hinge pin.
