AQUEOUS POLYTETRAFLUOROETHYLENE DISPERSION SOLUTION, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCTION THEREOF

Disclosed is an aqueous polytetrafluoroethylene [PTFE] dispersion solution which does not contain perfluorooctanoic acid ammonium [PFOA] or a salt thereof and enables to produce a fine powder suitable for paste extrusion molding. Also disclosed is a method for producing the aqueous PTFE dispersion solution. In the aqueous PTFE dispersion solution, a non-melt-processable PTFE particle is dispersed in an aqueous medium in the presence of a perfluorocarboxylic acid having the number of fluorine-bound carbon atoms of 5 to 6 and the total number of carbon atoms and oxygen atoms constituting the main chain of 9 to 12 or a salt of the perfluorocarboxylic acid. The non-melt-processable PTFE particle has an average particle diameter of 150 to 350 nm and a standard specific gravity [SSG] of 2.14 to 2.20.
