An apparatus for testing the operation of a rain and snow gauge apparatus is provided to allow whether a temperature sensor and a heater coupled with the temperature sensor are operated normally or not to be determined. An apparatus for testing the operation of a rain and snow gauge apparatus comprises a temperature sensor(100) which senses the temperature of the surroundings for the operation of a heater(50); a heat generation unit(200) which comprises a thermoelectric element generating potential difference at the both side ends according to the Peltier effect to convey the heat of the contact part forcibly and conveys the heat to the temperature sensor through a heat conductive medium(500) so as to heat or cool the temperature sensor artificially; and a group control part which turns on or off the heater by the temperature signal transferred from the temperature sensor.
