A composition for treating or preventing diarrhea is provided to prevent side effects such as exhaustion or weight loss for the medication period and to have no reduction of the weight increment particularly in case of using in domestic animals. A composition for treating or preventing diarrhea comprises taro extracts, broadleaf plantain extracts, Lonicera japonica Thunb extracts, chestnut extracts and Diospyros kaki extracts. The taro is the taro stem. The broadleaf plantain is 1 or greater selected from a group consisting of leaf of broadleaf plantain, and stem and root. The Lonicera japonica Thunb is the leaf and stem of Lonicera japonica Thunb or their mixture. The chestnut is the inside skin.
