<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a code reading device and method for reading various two-dimensional codes. <P>SOLUTION: This code reading device is provided with an image reading part 20 for fetching the image of a two-dimensional code; a binarization part 21 for binarizing the fetched image based on black and white pixels; a decision region detection part 24 for detecting the group of one pixels between the black and white pixels positioned almost at the center of the predetermined region of the binarized image, which are not brought contact with the boarder line of the predetermined region; a shape determination part 25 for determining whether or not the detected group of one pixels is predetermined shapes; a mark decision part 26 for, when it is decided that the group of one pixels is the predetermined shape by the shape decision part 25, deciding that a mark exists in the predetermined region; and an analyzing part 27 for performing the code analysis of the fetched image based on the decision result of the mark decision part 26. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
