<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underwater lighting body which can well stand the use under environments with high pressure at underwater depth, capable of enhancing a fish-attracting effect by irradiating light in a wide range under water. <P>SOLUTION: The underwater lighting body is provided with an LED-mounting substrate mounting a plurality of LEDs 5 in a matrix shape on a substrate, and a container case 3 as a block mounted on the substrate 4 with a plurality of container holes 8e formed for containing the LEDs 5. A side wall 9 is formed between adjacent container holes 8e, each of which has a rear-face side opened with a surface side blocked with a ceiling part 11, and an air chamber 12 is formed between the LED 5 and a top face of the container part at inside of each container hole 8e. The container case 3 is housed in an outer cover 2, and is tightly sealed coated and filled with synthetic resin. Light emitted from a light-emitting chip 5 is refracted when it enters an air layer of the air chamber 12, an irradiation direction after the refraction is nearly frontward, so that all the light emission volumes of the LEDs 5 are directed frontward to enable to brightly irradiate the underwater. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
