PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bidirectional remote control device such that one remotely controlled equipment can be controlled from a plurality of remote control devices by exchanging key information. SOLUTION: A remote control device has: a first transmission and reception means of transmitting and receiving remote control codes; a key information storage means of storing the key information; an authentication result reporting means of performing key authentication based upon key information included in a received remote control code and the stored key information; and a key blinking means of blinking a predetermined remote control key. The remotely controlled equipment has: a second transmission and reception means of transmitting and receiving remote control codes; a main body key information storage means of storing main body key information; a remote control determination means of determining whether a received remote control code includes key information; and a key authentication means of performing key authentication based upon the received key information and the stored main body key information. When the key authentication is successful, the remotely controlled equipment executes control information, and when the key authentication is successful, the remote control device blinks the predetermined remote control key.
