MULTI-STAGE POWER SUPPLY PROTECTION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-stage power source protection device capable of comprehending a deteriorated state of a non-linear element in advance by effectively protecting equipment from incoming surge even if a failure mode or deterioration in the non-linear element occurs.

SOLUTION: In the power source protection device in which the equipment connected to a power source line is protected from a surge such as an indirect lighting stroke, a protection circuit is connected between power source lines or between the power source line and a ground line in order to decrease an abnormal voltage that occurs in the power source line, and this protection circuit comprises: the non-linear element that decrease the abnormal voltage; and a plurality of safety devices that are operated in different characteristics in accordance with the state of the non-linear element. Moreover, the protection circuit comprises a state output terminal that outputs a state display signal showing the state of the non-linear element.
