PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sock cylindrically knitted continuously without need of reverse knitting to form a heel part into a bulged shape, and causing not so many drop stitches and/or not so much running when knitted so as to improve knitting efficiency. SOLUTION: The sock includes: continuously knitting a leg part 2, a heel part 3, an instep part 4 and a sole part 5 into a cylindrical state; forming at least heel-part peripheral areas at the leg part 2, the instep part 4 and the sole part 5 into a knitting structure having systematically large elasticity; and forming the heel part 3 into a knitting structure having systematically smaller elasticity than that of the knitting structure of the heel-part peripheral area so as to make the heel part 3 to be bulged.
