The invention relates in general to the field of electrical liquid crystalline polymer (LCP) connectors for use on printed circuit boards. Connectors belong in their class to a plurality of insulated connecting elements for printed circuit boards, the housings and constructive details and multi-pin character of which entail a plurality of designs and variants which due to the very fragile material (LCP) require a special constructive design. A connector of the above type is for example configured as a base strip or pin contact strip which is constituted of a one-piece or complex housing having a plurality of contact pins arranged inside the housing for connecting electrical plug connectors to conductors on the printed circuit board. Said strip is adapted to withstand substantial forces due to the plug and pull exerted on the plug connector and higher temperatures in welding methods with higher-melting solders.
