PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing control device capable of efficiently and highly speedily processing print data without sacrificing the simultaneous operability of various units for printing. SOLUTION: If it is determined that all image data cannot be compressed and accumulated in a page accumulation memory and the image data is to be compressed and accumulated again by increasing a compression rate, a competitive state of a compressor is determined and a print data compressing and accumulating process is switched.
