<p>Aligning fixture for the pre-welding, i.e. spot or tack welding, of cylindrical workpieces prior to the actual welding process, comprises a base-plate fitted with two supports, each support carrying a lever on a pivot and the two levers swivel in the same plane. The bottom ends of the two levers are attached to two piston rods, one piston rod being mounted in each end of a hydraulic cylinder used to actuate both levers; and the upper ends of both levers are fitted with a pair of rollers employed to align the workpieces.</p> |
