The device measures the breathing or air pathway resistance of an air pipe. It uses a pressure measurement device and pulse generator fixed to the end of the pipe which opens to the surrounding atmosphere. There is a device to measure the pressure (P) produced by the pulse generator within the air pipe. Devices are provided by means of which the flow (V) produced by the pulse generator may be quantitatively determined. A flow measurement device is situated between the pulse generator and the air pipe.
