<p>The weight is used on agricultural tractor and is fitted onto a rigid forming part of the chassis. The rail (2) is positioned at the front of the tractor and has a C shaped cross section. Several weights are used, depending on requirements. Each weight is a thick plate (3) with two parallel cutouts in one edge. These locate over the rail, the centre projection (4) inside. Another cutout on the same side has a sloping face (10) for a wedge (9). When tightened by a bolt and nut (12, 14), the wedge grips the serrated underface (6) of the rail to hold the weight firmly.</p> |
